We offer families a Direct to Cremation Service. This means the that the family or the deceased have decided that they want no funeral service to take place at all after their death. This may be because it was their wish, It may be for none religious reasons or some other personal reason they don’t wish to discuss with anyone, or purely down to finances.
Either way we can help you in this matter and of course discretion is our valour.
The day and time for the cremation to take place will be decided by ourselves and the designated crematorium because of the nature of the service required it is normally first thing in the morning between 8am & 9am.
This cost does not include the price of the one doctors certificate required by law for a cremation to take place (The national fee is £82.00).
If the death is in the hands of the Coroner and they issue the cause of death certificate, then the fee is wavered.
Fully lined basic laminated wooden coffin suitable for cremation with a brass affect name plate, we also offer a range of other coffins, please click here to see your other options (additional cost may apply).
Removal of the deceased in daytime hours from a hospital, coroners department or a nominated funeral director.
We understand every situation is different and that different people have different needs. Contact us to discuss your options and let us help make sure everything is handled stress free with pride and respect.
If a person has died at home or in a local nursing home we advise you to call the local funeral director to arrange the removal of the deceased to their chapel of rest, the reason being, for a cremation to take place two doctors have to see the body so they can issue the cremation part 1 and 2 certificates for cremation. In this case the funeral director will charge a fee for the removal and use chapel of rest facilities until the deceased is deemed clear to be picked up by ourselves.
These fee’s are set by individual funeral directors and will be added to the costings.
If a deceased is deemed to be obese then a small charge will be added for the larger coffin that may be required.
You may want to have the Cremated Remains returned to you, we can arrange for the crematorium to deliver them for you to your home address for a fee of £75.00.
If you want the Cremated Remains scattering at the crematorium their is no fee.
We can also organise scattering at sea or coast on your behalf for which a fee will apply.
